Le Royal Monceau, Raffles Paris

"The story continues..." goes the promo copy. "For the world's travelling cognoscenti.... The art of luxury. The romance of Paris. The legend that is Raffles. Welcome..."

But exactly what is that story and legend? Check out the video. Do I whiff a scent of southeastern slave labor in a romantic French colonial setting.

Truth be told if I had the money, I'd go...

Exclusive Apple Watch Stores Coming to Paris on April 10

Apple is preparing for what could be the biggest product launch in its history. It's a huge gamble and a major step away from affordable tech products and into the realm of luxury fashion with the Apple Watch. To make sure the launch won't go sour, Apple is buying new retail property dedicated to selling the Apple Watch.

Really? Is that what being a 700 billion dollar company does to you?

With Steve Jobs gone will this mark the start of a line of rotten Apple adventures into unfamiliar territory? Aren't we supposed to see an Apple Auto soon? Or will the ghost of their guru return to help bring the 'wow' out of the revolution weary, upgrade whrilmill, bleeding edge tech sector and deliver it to the high end luxury market place?

GQ France: Twitters 10 Sexiest Women

I have to admit more than half of Twitter's 10 most popular women I have never heard of before. I try to keep up and be current.  Rihanna, Kardashian, Jessica Alba, Heidi Klum, OK... But Emily Ratajkowski? Who the heck is she! lol...

On March 21, Twitter celebrated its 9th anniversary. So GQ France 'rend hommage aux utilisatrices les plus sexy du réseau au petit oiseau bleu et vous livre, en images, son compte-rendu.' which translates to they're shouting out for the occasion with sexy photos.

GMO advocate asked to drink herbicide walks out on French interview

The French love of cuisine is legendary. So is their distrust of Monsanto, herbicides and GMOs.

In an interview with the French television station Canal Plus, Patrick Moore an advocate for GMOs said the herbiside Roundup,  manufactured by Monsanto, is safe for human consumption. Watch as he refused to drink the herbicide when offered a glass by the interviewer and then walks out saying 'I'm not stupid' and calling the reporter 'jerk.'

Your in France, you know, with the French? Hey Moore, could you expect anything less?

Springtime in Paris!

It always amazes me how well these Parisian luxury handbag videos are made. Here the attention to color matching, contrast and placement is outstanding. The playful use of geometric shapes also creates an interesting visual style or as the French would say: le chic à la française!
